I was offered in the mail from capital one to go to a local dealer and buy a car no money down ? has anyone else tried this program with success?

I'm not familiar with that program, but I have financed a car through Capital One Auto Finance, and never had any problems. I purchased an older vehicle too, and they were the only ones I could find willing to finance...

Usually you will have to buy a car in a certain price range($20,000 to $30,000) and a certain year range(2004-2007) to qualify. And even though that sounds all great and well, remember you will also have to insure that car and depending on age, DMV record, and the likes, insurance can get very expensive. Also check on the default issues. If something happens and you are late or can't make a payment, what happens? What does your interest rate jump to?
