Well, I'm 2 years away from getting my permit, and wondering what kind of car can I get?
I don't want one of those old cars, so can you give me suggestions on good cars from the years 2004 to 2007?

Whatever you buy for yourself. BTW what highschooler has $35,000 for a car. You only need about $1,500 because everyone wrecks their first car.

HA HA a good 04-07 under $35,000. well i have no idea what you want to do with it.... a sports car i would say a Ford Mustang `07 is the best of em all. For a Good Mobber (off-road) i would suggest a Early 90's Toyota Tacoma, i understand you want a `04-`07 but Toyota Tacomas can give you 350k Miles without engine repair. But i can tell you this looks aren't everything... its what your car can do... if you got a Crap early 90's car that has chipped paint... but that kitty can roar on the road... thats what matters Its all about sound in highschool not looks... looks help but you wanna make heads turn. soo My Suggestion for you is get a crap car that you can put $35,000 into then you will have the most BITCHEN car in school. Im haveing the same problem lol....

By your question I can tell your a male, girls want yaris's and know they cost under 15,000 new. I can also tell you have the need for speed, you didn't request for a SUV, you said car. Mommy and Daddy will probably try to convince you to get something slow. You find yourself in a situation. I have been driving for years and I have had a lot of cars and there is nothing worse than trying to merge onto the high way into 70mph traffic in a car that only does 85. Tell mom and dad this. If you are really working with this budget shoot for a Lexus. They are built so well and they will take every dollar you invest into it and turn it to straight horsepower. A SC430 is a heavyweight but that is ball-in out of control. Lexus is the bomb most of there sedans are rear drive. A GS400 has 300 horsepower. Couple that with a few bolt on's and a little bit of squeeze (NOS) you could have 400hp. If your parents say you can have what ever you want, if you are a true speed freak wanna be, you say three things Z-0-6 and nothing else.

News flash kid: cool and new don't belong in the same sentance when speaking of cars. Sure, there are a few new cool cars out there, but they all cost a fortune (Pagani, Ferrari, etc.) All other new cars are just econobox wanna be racecars (Civic, Cobalt, anything FWD really) or just bland and stupid (mostly everthing else)
Buy a classic. Young people should drive old cars. Buy a new automatic car when you're knees start hurting from old age.
And now that my rant is over: try some of the following: 80s Subaru 4WD (you will be amazed where they can go), 6 cylinder (unless you have lots of cash for gas) car from the 60s or early 70s.

DO NOT GET A CAR OVER $10,000. 35,000 is way too much for your first car. Your most likely gonna get into an accident and lose a ton of money, so dont do it. but if you are, honda s2000 is a very sexy car.

by cool, im assuming you mean fast and good looking try one of these used cars: honda s2000 vw golf gti vw r32 audi a4 bmw 3 series or a 60's/70's muscle car, like a 69 camaro, impala, caprice, etc

Volkswagen GTI. My dad bought his for about $24,000 new and this car can go! It has a 2.0L engine with a turbo charger. It produces 200hp and has great handling. This car would be a great high school car because of its sport rims and all of its power. My car right now in high school is a car I bought myself which is a 84' Porsche 944. But you said you didn't want any old cars.

My buddy had the coolest car in school. 69 charger general lee.
I know it's old but man did that car get him a lot of tail.

A bicycle. No, I'm NOT kidding...-THINK about it; it's about as "green" (good for the Environment) as you can get. Easy to park. Will SAVE you THOUSANDS of dollars in Insurance costs, maintenance costs, & parking fees. Is good excersize (help to keep those pounds off). And one of the BEST Investments you will ever make... :)

I'd say you should be able to find a pretty good car for under 35,000. Calivers are a good car. I one then got one for my daughter.
