I have another year left on my BMW lease and the payments are just too much for me now. I want to get either a new or pre-owned Honda or Toyota (for much cheaper payments). Does that work? Or do I have to go back to BMW only if I want out of the lease? I don't mind paying the 12 months wrapped into my next car I just want my monthly payments down significantly.

The car salesman said we do not have to pay sales tax because our trade is worth more than the car we plan on buying. I just want to make sure that it isn't one of those car salesman tricks.

I am 18 years old, 19 in August. I am going to buy a car, whats smarter, to buy a cheap one, a new one, or to lease a new car? I have been told never buy anything that decreases in value, and that most business men/women always lease their cars and drive the latest car every year?

If I purchase through my dads business, I know I can claim back tax.

How does it work when you trade in a car you still owe on?

What are the pros and cons?

I am looking into buying a new car within the next couple of weeks. I was wondering if you are able to get a better "deal" on the purchase price if you say that you will finance the car, or if you will get a better deal by just paying cash. Thanks for your input.

I'm looking to buy a vehicle in the coming months. I really want a diesel truck, but the only models of them that I can really afford at the moment are ones that are a few years old (for example, around '97-99 or so). How can I get financing for a vehicle that old and not get totally killed on the interest rates? Plus I've seen a lot of places that say they won't finance anything older than 2000.

Also, what's the best place to get financing through? My bank has crappy interest rates for the most part, and Capitol One didn't give me all that great of rates either (9.7% on vehicles 2000-2003). I have a 700+ credit rating.

8 months ago, my father bought me my first new car - a 2006 civic EX coupe.

I recently decided to take a break with college and I got myself a full time hourly job with great pay. Because of this, I decided to take over responsibilities of paying for my car.

I have always wanted a 06-07 Civic SI, but my father insisted on the EX for my first new car. Now that I have taken over the payments, I was wondering if I could trade in my EX for an SI. It would be about 22 grand compared to my EX which was 20 grand. I don't want to tell my father yet, so I'm seeking advice here.

I have done some research, but there are many terms that I'm not familiar with. Lease, finance, quotes, I don't know about any of those. Can anyone help me out with these terms? Am I even able to do this type of trade in? Will I lose money? How do I go about asking a dealer for this type of trade?

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

its a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis GS. it has about 64,050 miles and runs great and cold A/C. The down side is that the person i bought it from (a old Lady) she like ran into her own house but it isn't bad of a hit. she just took off the paint of the left side of the bumper. but its a small area. do you think i can sell the car around $7,000?

Hi! I'm searching for a car to buy before the winter, and I've heard that July and December are the best months to buy cars. July, because most car manufacturers bring out next year's models, and December because it's the end of the year. It's still early in July, and i've seen July 4th sales, but would it be better to wait until later in the month? Also, how do I find out which car brands are having their "model year-end clearance"? Thanks in advance!

I just moved from another state and planning to sell my car. The car doens't have nys registration or anything here in ny.
How can I sell my car to somebody in ny? In my state, we had to go to AAA for title change. But I heard here in ny, you don't have to go anywhere. Is it true?

8. Nissan Altima
9. Nissan Maxima
10. Saturn Aura

13. Other (any other car that you think is cool or good for a teenager!)

Please Reply Back!!!

I've bought a used car about ten days ago which I thought was perfect, until I found out it doesn't have half the safety equipment I thought it had, because it's a south pacific version.
There's no mistake by the dealer, I just hadn't done my homework properly.
Now I want to take this car back to the dealer and give him a chance to make money on me again for his trouble by having him obtain another car for me, from another dealer, because he doesn't have the model I want.
How will that work out, what do you reckon?
What should I do to make this possible?
I've got to have a super-safe car, where I live is just not safe.
