Buying & Selling - July 2007

In 2005 i bought a brand new car. My dad signed and i co-signed because i was only 18 at the time. I have been on his car insurance ever since then and i pay for the car every single month. About 2 months ago me and my dad got into ahorrible fight and I took myself off of his car insurance policy and got my own. I do not live with him, i like with my fiancee. I will be married on saturday, then me and my husband will have our own car insurance together. Well my dad called me and left a threatening message saying i need to trade my car in and get a new one that is mine and only mine, because he owns that car and he doesnt want me having it! Is there anything i can do about this? Can i get it transferred into my name without him? Thank you very much!!

I bought a hyundai elantra last october. The payments are $397.00 a month. I have tried to refinance but the bank says I owe more than it is worth. Anyone have any other ideas on what I can do to get a cheaper payment? I dont know my options, just trying to get some ideas.

Was told we were being offered a great deal, 13 year old Isuzu SUV with 140,000 milies on it. Exterior and seats looks good. Had a friend mechanic look at it and told the car was "okay". Planning on getting from point a to b, driving less than an hour everyday. Was told the Kelly Blue Book puts the car at $5,000 so $3,000 is a steal. Do these cars guzzle gas? Am I being played or should I jump at this opportunity?Will my insurance rate go up if i drive an older car? Does this car spell trouble? What kind of trouble? What should i be concerned about when buying a used car? Help!

My dad doesn't think I should pay more than $7,000, but I just wanted some more opinions. I don't think $7500 would be bad dependent on the dealer letting my mechanic look it over. Also, does anyone know what type of mpg the SVTs get. I have found info for normal Contours, but I can't find a figures for the SVTs.

i'm 14 and i just got my permit about a month ago, and now i'm looking to buy my first car.

i want something that's really good on gas, something that runs well, and something that's less than $3000.

My dad has been looking out for cars, and he's found a few, but yeah.

I want your opinions.

Are 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS's good? Would they fit my description of what I want?
Can you tell me what you know about them?

Also, what do you think would be a good car for me?

How hard would it be to get a loan to buy a car that expensive for a person with no credit???

How much would you have to pay a month if... on a 72 month plan have to pay off $105,000 with APR being at 25%???

I see in the paper the cars from $500 and it says they are police impond cars. Is this is a scam are has any one actually bought a car this way? especially if any one has ever done it in California let me know.

I'm in CA ,and just buy a used car from a private seller ($4500) and am going to transfer the title in coming days, should I ask seller to put the amount in $0 ? or in a low price?

Should seller go to DMV with me, or just write a letter that indicate that car is a gift for me?

the seller is one of my friend, and she can/will help me if DMV or someone want to ask for the truth...

The seller is going to leave US to another country, can she just use this reason and give me the car as a gift?

this car is flawless and has only 1434 miles on it. Three days ago is was still in the showcase at the ford dealership..when I say a small loan, Im talking about 600.00 returning 450.00 x2= $900.00 in 60 days. Can this sort of thing be done?

He was in a bad accident and the car is a total loss. Our insurance is giving us a really great price for the car. The only problem is it is not enough to buy a new vehicle plus tt&l.
