I can not seem to find the title to my car. I have someone that may want to buy it. Is it possible to sell it with no title?

Sure; unless they actually want to register or drive it. Then No.

Contact State DMV: they can replace a lost title.

If the car was titled in your name, you should have no trouble getting a duplicate title from the DMV. In some states, they will issue the duplicate over the counter with proper ID, some states require that it be mailed to you.

If you sell the car without the title, the new owner has no proof that you actually are the owner. They are taking a risk, and in many states, will not be able to title or register the vehicle. This will reduce the value considerably.

You will get much less for it then if you went to the DMV and filed for a lost title.

The new owner would have to file for a NEW title.

Some states only allow this to the person that the car is registered in NOW. And will only issue a salvaged title to the new owner.

It's pretty cheap to get the title back from the DMV, just add the price to the car.

Yes you can sell a vehicle without a title. In Georgia, it is not required for vehicles from 1985 and older.
If you do not disclose if it has a lien on it, you are liable.
