I have all the technical description, and still can't decide, they're equally good....

For gas mileage and price -- the Yaris.
For everything else -- the Mazda3 (more power, better handling, more room, more safety features, better looking).

Do your homework.
I highly recommend paying the $20 subscription fee to consumerreports.org
You get the unbiased reports.
Plus the subscription is good for a year and you can check anything elese you might buy in the next 12 months
