Everytime I drive I can't help notice cars with dealership logos on them. It kind of bothers me because I think what gives a dealer the right to do that. When I bought my cars (brand new) from the dealer - I specifically stated "I don't want the 'Sloan Honda' advertisement on my car." The salesman looked a little disturbed by it. I said, "I'm sorry. You guys are not paying me to advertise for you. I will NOT buy a car stamped with your company's name on it!" In the sales agreement I even wrote that out and really big.

What gives them the right to this? Does anyone else see it my way too?

Alright, Im in the market for a newer used car, BUT heres the catch, I want a car that is reliable and long lasting, you know a car that will be around after 70k given you drive it "normal" and proper maitenince. But anyway i want a car that is economical, YET fun to drive and fairly quick. Which would you prefer?

My mother has a Chevy, Malibu and I'm looking into buying a Jeep Cherokee also w/6 cylinder. Does that makes the gas prices about the same? I don't know if yr. or wheel drive of the car matters but I'm also looking at a car for low gas prices. Thank you for all your help.

I have a 1994 audi 100 and I'm buying a new car because I have too many problems that I don't want to fix. I want to get the most money from the car. the car needs front brakes, front struts, and front axles, the cars is also stalling occasionally due to oil getting on some of the wiring from a small leak, however the mechanic said it wasn't a big deal as the leak and the wiring were easy to fix. The options I have come up with is trying to sell it as is, fixing all the things on the car and selling it or selling it to a salvage yard. fixing it would cost near the value of the car and I don't want to do the work unless absolutely necessary. I was unsure about how much i could expect from a salvage yard. The car does run(I drove home from auto shop) but it's not reliable.

Leasing it for 2 yrs with $4000 down payment + fees & taxes (an additional $1800) is around $250 a month, 10k a year. 15 cents for every additional mile.
Buying it is for $40000 which leads to a much higher monthly payments.
What do u think? Please explain. Thanks

Through an employee discount plan at my job, I am eligible to buy new cars from certain manufacturers at 4% or less above the dealer's cost. Can anyone give me some indication as to what the dealer's cost is on a vehicle?

I'll make this short. I have 2 cars. Both run equally well. A 1995 Cadillac Deville with 206,000 miles and a 1998 Hyundai Sonata with only 48,000 miles. Remember, both run great. Need to sell one. Which one would you keep?

I saw a really nice looking gs500f at a dealership near me. The dealership says it's a 2006 model and it only has 300km on it so inclined to beleive them. The problem is, the coloring/ fairings are that of the 2004 model. So I want to check and see if the previous owner just switched out the fairings (sudgesting possible damage), if it just got a paint job, or if it's actually a 2004.

Thanks in advance :)

The problem is it already has 95k miles, and there's a huge paint scrape on the right side. Still would it be a good idea to buy the car since it's in good working condition and just get the side repainted at a later date?

I am a novice who wants to buy a 1975 El Camino Classic. I test drove and seems good and I am having Lemonbusters come out to inspect today. Can you tell me what I can expect from owning a car like this as far as upkeep and ease of getting new parts? I have searched the net for info, but have yet to find a good resource. Asking price is $4000 with 94000 miles on a 350 eng.

My boyfriend has a 1990 Mazda Miata with over 200,000 miles on it and the transmission locked up on him today while driving on the interstate. I told him I think he should try to sell it for parts but he's thinking of getting a new transmission for it. I don't think it'd be worth it considering he only payed $1000 for it.
What do you guys think?
