I have a 1994 audi 100 and I'm buying a new car because I have too many problems that I don't want to fix. I want to get the most money from the car. the car needs front brakes, front struts, and front axles, the cars is also stalling occasionally due to oil getting on some of the wiring from a small leak, however the mechanic said it wasn't a big deal as the leak and the wiring were easy to fix. The options I have come up with is trying to sell it as is, fixing all the things on the car and selling it or selling it to a salvage yard. fixing it would cost near the value of the car and I don't want to do the work unless absolutely necessary. I was unsure about how much i could expect from a salvage yard. The car does run(I drove home from auto shop) but it's not reliable.

You could donate the car to the kidney foundation or any other group who give car value receipts if you can wait that long.
If not, then EBAY motors is good.

The Charity Assn's will accept cars, but
not junkers, if they cost too much to fix
they don't want them - if they do take it
You can deduct it from your income taxes
the Dealer just adds what they give to the
price of the new car, so you don't get any
thing for your old car.

Put it out there on CARS DOT COM Old audi fixer upper! Some one will pay something for it. Or donate it to cars for kids or charity for tax credit. Not much I can say Old Audi's did not age very well. How many 198.00 window motors still work?

just run an add and sell it in the paper ,and sell it as is,with no guarantees on it,no one gets a guarantee on a used one anyway, but it will sell, price it a little more than its worth, then you have room to come down some on price, someone will buy it,there's an old saying, there's a buyer for everything, and for everything there's a buyer,it will sell,it may take some time but run it and say in the add needs work, good luck, hope this helps.

Seriously, if you are anywhere near the San Francisco area, try selling it to Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman; TV's Mythbusters.
They've bought cars like yours before, and used them in their experiements on their show.
They'll buy your Audi, and probably blow it up !
But, you'll get a good price on it.

Donate the car to a charity and deduct it from your taxes as a charitable contribution. You can look up the value of the car on www.kbb.com.

If your car looks good try to fix it. Or simply sell as it is. In case yo decide to sell it yourself try selllikeadealer.com/ helped me to sell my car in 3 days. If your car does not look good simply junk it, since you will not be able to sell it privately or trade it in.Good luck!
