How much taxes I have to pay for a new Toyota Corolla?

I am planning to buy a new Toyotta Corolla. I was searching for prices online - it is about $17,000 without taxes. Does anybody know how much would a tax be (for Louisiana)? This is my first car in the US.

It varies based upon your address. The LA state tax rate is 4% but local rates run as much as 5.5% making the total tax as high as 9.5%.
