We are looking for a new or used smaller SUV with good gas mileage. Does anybody have any ideas?

The Toyota Rav4 or the Ford Escape are your best options for gas mileage.

Ford Edge. It's a great car. I rented one a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. I always drive sports cars, but this thing was awesome. A lot of power. Good gas mileage. Cool styling. I'd say go for the Edge.

OR I highly recommend paying the $20 subscription fee to
www.consumerreports.org
At consumer reports you can can unbiased reports/ratings on not only cars but washer/dryers, Barbeque grills, etc etc. and the membership is good for a year.
