Recently, I have fallen in love with the Mustang Fastbacks (mostly Mach1) from around 1968-'72, but I don't have $20,000 for one in good condition. I have about 4 years to work with. What do I do?

Look around your local salvage yards or even on ebay for cars that have been in accidents. It will not be easy since lots of people are now buying them so they can fix them up and sell them.

This site has some 1970's Mach 1 Mustangs. I just saw one on there for about $6,600

There are two ways to go. Save up the money and buy a fully restored classic or buy a car that needs restoration and put in the sweat equity. Restoring a classic car is a labor of love but one that is worth all the effort. You can take your time and invest as you go.

And sometimes you find little old lady's driving them. In fort worth there is this white 1972 Mach 1 with the red white blue treatment. The old girl who drives it must be in her 80's. She will not part with it until she is put into the rest home...
