I am thinking about buyin a 49 Honda Accord EX (4dr) (114000mi)

however the left CV joint is going bad and it needs to be replaced, as well as the windshield has been cracked, and a few little details about the interior im not too worried about.

When I blue booked it (KBB.com) it said that the car should sell for $2750.......i was wondering how much less than that I could probably get away with

If I didn't know any better it sounds like my wife is selling my car because I have the same Mileage, slight interior wear and a cracked windshield.

I purchased a factory CV Joint for one side for 109.00 dollars and I fixed it my self. I went through 5 Breaker Bars trying to removed the bolt by the cotter pin.

I am selling mine for 3,500 with high performance modifications but if they are selling it with no customizations I would be looking at 3,200 - 3,500. If it has been dropped, take notice on both front side panels because they start to dimple in that area if the offset hasn't been corrected.

I have had my Honda for 7 years and the only issues I have had were the Battery and Alternator (because of their life expectancy) and the CV Joint (because I hit a curb).
It has been a very reliable second car to me.

Cost to replace a CV shaft (Joint included) less than $200 including parts and labor.

Cost to replace a Windshield typically around $300.

You can negotiate accordingly.

id expect to get it a lot less the windshield is around 300 bucks, and the cv joint is around 200 installed for a new axle,so id expect them to drop the price at least 6-800 bucks maybe more, they will too if they really want to sell it,don't ever pay book price for anything, always find something wrong with it,they know you,ll haggle with them that's why they mark the price up,good luck on it.
