Well, to start off I am14 and I have been saving for a car since well. . .forever and recently I heard that the prices of 360 Modena have been free falling because of the new 430. I have about 12,000 dollars right from odd jobs and things. I just started a part time job I go to everyday after school and I was wondering if I would even come close to having enough for Ferrari! Hey, everyone can dream. . .

I'm researching what would be involved in generating temporary thrust for helicopter tail rotors for a system to be implemented in case of tail rotor failure or damage. I'm looking for specific links to find information on what amount of thrust..percentage wise or general amounts..are needed for operation of a military helicopter like a Blackhawk or any other smaller models. I'm interested in developing an emergency thrust device or system for loss of tail rotor function in combat or civilian use. I envision a jet propulsion system built into the tail and properly armored that is controlled by computer to alter it's amount of thrust as necessary depending on inputs from the pilot for course correction. Or a system of thrust vectoring of the primary engine exhaust. Such a system would provide emergency backup manuevering in the event of tail rotor loss or malfunction to provide ample time for evasion and descent in a controlled manner for both civilian and military helicopters.

hey everyone i gotta 97 hilux 2.4 petrol. it all started when the head blew i got that done. but still found problem with coolant being pushed into overflow tank and gurgling sound after engine turned off. there was no change on temp gage but coolant was not sucking back into radiator. so i changed the thermostat and radiator which was shot. done a head test but came back ok and problem with coolant still arises. if the head wasnt done properly should the mechanic have to re do under insurance or am i screwed. i would be very appreciative if any one could give me any hints or comments what to do thanks

I just bought a 1994 1500 series ram 4x4 with a 5.2 318.

Truck was running excellent and all of sudden it just wants to die when I depress the accelerator. There is a hissing noise coming from around the upper intake.I looked for faulty vacuum hoses and unplugged the Coolant temp sensor but no better.

I didnt check the EGR valve yet,or maybe on those they don't have one,I am used to Chevy trucks.

Some people have told me maybe the cat converter plugged up,and it blows air back towards the engine, causing the hissing sound.I didnt check for fault codes yet, the check engine light is not on,but it's on when I first turn the key so I know it's working.

This truck had the head overhauled not too long ago says the seller...

Any suggestions??

My fiance just had a new transmission put in his truck. Nothing appears to be wrong with the new transmission, but when he pushed on the truck it moved. It was in park. What could be the cause of this?

Sometimes my car starts right up but other times it will just crank over and not start? Would a loose battery connection be the cause of the car cranking over but not starting, or is it something else like the alternator or starter? Thanks

Okay, weird-ish question but it's bugging me to no end. A while back we were looking at ATVs, in an ATV and Bike shop. I saw this...thing, it was a bike/motorcycle/ wtf-ever with a very car-like design to the front of it, possibly more than just the front but I 'm not totally sure.
And I'm not talking about a bike with a bulky/complex front that is kinda car-like. Partial mini clone of a sports car describes it better...anyway, if anyone can understand a word I just said and might have some idea what I'm talking about, please fill me in? Because I've only seen something like that at the one place and I have no real clue what it is.

I am in school for Automotive Service Technology. An assignment of mine is to find a list of the legal resons that I, as a tech, am allowed to disable an airbag. I've been searching and searching with no luck. I've tried the DMV, I've tried NHTSA, and about everywhere else you could imagine. If you know of a place I could get the list of reasons that a tech may LEGALLY disable an airbag, I would much appreciate some help.

I'm not talking about the average everyday person disabling their airbags, but the reasons that I, as a tech working in a shop on someone elses vehicle, may disable them.

Thank you in advance.

Problem has just started. Engine starts and sometimes fails while in park. Sometimes driving extreme loss of fuel pressure, however if you pump gas it may work through and then it might back fire. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I have a 1996 Chevy Suburban that has a small hole in the rear of the muffler. It causes some annoying sounds and just sounds like something is clunking around. Is it dangerous or bad for the car if I don't get it fixed?
