Problem has just started. Engine starts and sometimes fails while in park. Sometimes driving extreme loss of fuel pressure, however if you pump gas it may work through and then it might back fire. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a typical case of a timing belt which has jumped a couple of teeth. Replace the timing set and get the timing all lined back up and should be O.K.

timing belt? doesn't have one. it has a chain, and i never have heard of one that has been replaced. they just don't break. if you are losing fuel pressure, look towards the pump. make sure the power and ground is good. if they are good, you are probably going to have to replace the pump.
