Well, I took my first ride on a 2003 Honda Shadow Ace Delux 750 (HOT!! lol) a couple of weeks ago and now I want a bike...a good one! Thing is, I'm afraid of drving one and laying it down all the time. How hard is it to learn? How many times did you lay it down when you drove yours for the first time? What's a good kind to get, with it not being those tiny "rice burners" but a solid, loud one? Thanks!! :-)

I got a quote from a dealer for a MSRP and Invoice Price of a Tyouta Hybrid Altima. The price is :

Invoice MSRP
BASE $22,821 $24,400

But what is interesting is the quote I got elsewhere was $24900. Is it because this has been stripped down somehow? or is this just the most base model?

Is anyone working on solving loss of tail rotor function from RPG's as seen in the movie "Black Hawk Down"? I've wondered this for many years, whether or not it's possible to design a system whereby tail rotor loss of function could be minimized by some kind of emergency jet propulsion in the tail section to produce the necessary thrust for safe control of the helicopter or by directing engine exhaust in a sidewards manner much like an engine reverse thruster to minimize or eliminate torque thrust. I'm also wondering why the military does not employ the NOTAR system in combat zone helicopters to mitigate being brought down by RPG's. Any helicopter engineers or pilots wish to comment?

could pivot in any axis, --via pilot controlled hydralics, say 90deg in any direction --wouldnt that give you ultra-maneoverability? ( i mean mass produced planes, not like a one-off experimental)

Could someone tell me what the "actual cash value" would be for the following car? I am just not sure where to look.

2000 VW Beetle
Good Condition
90,000 miles
Has sun roof if that matters.
Automatic

If you need other details let me know what you need and I'll post the answers.

I asked the question earlier and got some good responses but I have another question about different cars.
Basically, I don't want to spend more than 12,000 for a used car. I've found some 2001-2003 Camry/ Accords in my price range and know the rep of those vehicles. Plus I've owned both Honda and Toy and been happy w/them both.
I did find a Lexus, Acura, and a BMW in my price range but they are a few years older- 1999/ 2000 models. I also know that these cars are freaking nice but they are 8 yrs old v 4-5 yrs old.
Should I go for the luxury model on an older car w/ more miles or go w/ the less older car but still reliable and nice.
Thank You
