I got a quote from a dealer for a MSRP and Invoice Price of a Tyouta Hybrid Altima. The price is :

Invoice MSRP
BASE $22,821 $24,400

But what is interesting is the quote I got elsewhere was $24900. Is it because this has been stripped down somehow? or is this just the most base model?

if you're getting quotes, you need to know if the price is invoice, or how much over invoice, this way you can compare cars with different equipment and still know where your best deal is

Nissan uses the Synergy Drive Toyota Hybrid system with a Nissan 2.5 liter Internal combustion motor. And as far as I know there is no such thing as a stripped down version. Sold only on the east coast and California good luck finding one. For around town great milage gains. Highway driving just the same as any Altima around 29 MPG. Winter driving with heat turned on the Internal combustion motor has to heat up the coolant to heat the car. A/C is powered by 255 volt system. The dual propulsion system is the best in the industry good car. Thinking about buying do it fast because the Dollar is loosing value.

You are confusing a couple of things. MSRP pricing is suggested manufacture's price on a specific vechicle in stock. The invoice price is what the dealer paid for the car. The base price is the price on that model vechicle before they add on the car's accessories. The base price is constant on the same model car but the MSRP changes in accordance with its accessories So the $24,900 had additional options on it.$500.00 more, over the $24,400 quote you received from the other dealership.

I desire the Camry Hybrid out of those 2. even however, in case you desire to up your gas financial gadget via approximately 10 mpg, evaluate the Toyota Prius. You get almost as lots room. the different solid option is the VW Jetta TDI. The benefit to the Jetta TDI (diesel) is which you get extra of the driving sense of a classic 4 cylinder motor vehicle mutually as getting comparable gas financial gadget to maximum hybrids.
