Believe it or not?but no more nails is great for this job!Cheaper than most other products for gluing seals back on.Hope this helps

Use the black weatherstrip adhesive from 3M. The yellow doesn't work quite as good and shows up a lot more if you spill a little bit.

try spraying any moving part there with carburetor cleaner to strip off any sticky residues, oil, grease, sand, dust, before apply any lubricant.
