It depends. Are you thinking of buying one? If so, what are your main drivers/needs for purchasing one? What is important to you.
The H3 has great off road capabilities. However, if you just need something to get you around in the snow, its kind of a waste. An all wheel drive car like a Subaru will get you around just fine.
If you need to tow heavy loads, like a big boat or a car, a pickup truck will be better.
Depends on what you are looking for. If you are just buying it for image, I think buying one would be a bad choice.

well if you like it then buy it but if you are buying it for its off road capabilities then you are paying way more money than you need to , the H3 is just the Chevy trailblazer with a different body on it. The frame , suspension , and drive train are the exact ones that are under the trailblazer , remember Chevy makes hummer . but if you like the looks of the H3 then it is the one for you , just remember it is only a hummer on the name plate everything else is all Chevy so you can do just as good , cheaper.

Having spent a lot of time looking around at SVU's, there are a lot better options for your money then the H3. If you really love the look of it. Then buy it. I personally think it's 20K over priced for the options you receive. I should shop around a little more and compare. Again, if you love it, then buy it, after all it's your money and your tastes.

If you feel you have the need for such a vehicle (which I doubt, but who am I to judge), yes, it is worth it.
However, a used Suburban or Tahoe would be cheaper and just as good.
