... "this car is a stick"?
I have heard that in movies a couple if times. What does it mean? A special kind of car?

it means the transmission which transfers the engine power to the wheel is a manual and not an automatic shifter for the various gears with a manual clutch pedal. the STICK refers to the actual rod in the center of the car which you shift with.Its a stick with a knob..

It has a standard transmission with a "stick shift" it's either a stick or automatic.
