i bought a seat ibiza from arnold clark in april, i paid for the car cash in hand - it was £4.000. they only gave us a months warrenty with the car (which they neglected to tell us)
ive had to fill the oil up 4 times since i bought it and the car really struggles going up hills. there is a rattling noise coming from the tail pipe. i had a friend take a look and he said the piston caps are worn away. there is oil leaking from the exhaust too. the engine is clean and as far as he could see there was nothing wrong.
my quiestion is - any ideas on why it struggles going up hills? its a sporty car, it shouldnt be having problems with hills.

arnold clark are taking nothing to do with the car.

the car is a citreon saxo. when i drive, and let go of the gas, there is a grinding noise coming from the middle of the front of the car. the noise also comes, when i press the clutch and the brakes. it is not the breaks as i have had them checked. this noise only starts once i have driven for a long period, therefore the mechanic cannot find where the noise comes comes from. can anyone please help me out, as this problem is embarasing, and my girlfriend gets anoyed at me.. thank you, and look forward to hearing from you guys.

I am considering buying a car and am slightly paranoid due to my lack of knowledge even though the guy I'm supposed to be buying it from is trustworthy. The car had a noisy clutch and a friend of mine says this means it has a problem with its clutch plate or cable and so wouldnt have passed the mot that it allegedly just has, he reckons that the mot certificate is dodgy and that I should report it. I was hoping that maybe someone could clear this matter up for me are there any MOT testers who can help?

This seems to be a common problem for E36 cars, and now starting to happen to E46. If you or someone you know had this problem, how was it resolved? Did BMW NA cover the (very expensive) repairs?

The price of a litre of unleaded petrol at my local Tesco (normally the cheapest in the area) has risen by 5p in just over a week.
The price of petrol is rapidly reaching the point where people can no longer afford to go to work - if the public transport system was up to scratch then this would not matter, but it isn't. And over 80% of the cost of petrol on the forecourts goes directly to the government as taxes! What are they doing with it?

After the last blockades of fuel depots the government made it illegal to do so again.

My question is this: I'm willing to risk getting arrested blockading a fuel depot if in the long run it stops my government from robbing me blind.

Are you?

Or do you have a better idea?

And for you environmental-types - if you have a better way for me to get to work from Essex to London then I'm all ears.
