The parts won't be ready until next week and I have to drive from San Francisco to LA this weekend (round trip about 800 miles). Also, I was told I need rear pads and turn rotors. Is it safe?

I had a leaking coolant reservoir, so I replaced it with a lidded kitchen container. The coolant now splashes around alot because the kitchen container doesn't get deep and narrow at the bottom like proper coolant reservoirs. I'm sure it must suck in air when I go around a corner or over bumps.

Hi there can anyone help me with parking regulations I seem to understand about yellow line white lines etc but there are streets on London which do not have any markings (neither yellow, white, red not bay marks) can I park on those streets during weekdays from 8 am to 7 pm?

i have a 99 mazda protege which makes loud thumping noises when i go over the smallest of bumps. I have checked the struts, the bearings, the ball joints, control arms,cv joints and nothing on the suspension seems bad. The engine mounts are fine also but i just cant find whats making this noise.

I just recently changed my rear break pads and rotors on a '93 eclipse. The brakes seem to be working fine, but they are giving off a very strange almost burning smell.
If there is anyone that may know what this is, can you please help. I greatly appreciate it.

'm looking for a first car, and I'm fortunate to even get one, let alone in the price range of 15-20k. I've been looking around for months to find a car that would suit my needs and wants. I'm looking for a car to be safe, reliable, luxurious, nice exterior, good amount of space in a 2 door, and maybe some power in there for good measure.

Both of these cars just look very stylish, and the Mustang just screams mean. It's also a chick magnet, but I'm just throwing that out there.

Is the Mustang GT too much to handle? I realize it's about 300hp, but I always keep hearing a V6 Mustang is worthless. The only thing the GT is good at is going fast in a straight line. The interior on it isn't too fancy either. While a car may look nice on the outside, I would be spending all my time inside, looking at what's inside, and the Mustang doesn't deliver.

The BMW seems nicer, but would it be more expensive too?

On a side note, which car has more rear leg room?

Anyone else cycle to work and love it ?. I cycle a 8 mile round trip to work every day and love it. It's good exercise cost's nothing . It also doesnt matter what time i leave work i never get stuck in traffic it always takes me 20 mins to get home. I admit it is rubbish when it rains but i just get the bus and have a rest from cycling.
