'm looking for a first car, and I'm fortunate to even get one, let alone in the price range of 15-20k. I've been looking around for months to find a car that would suit my needs and wants. I'm looking for a car to be safe, reliable, luxurious, nice exterior, good amount of space in a 2 door, and maybe some power in there for good measure.

Both of these cars just look very stylish, and the Mustang just screams mean. It's also a chick magnet, but I'm just throwing that out there.

Is the Mustang GT too much to handle? I realize it's about 300hp, but I always keep hearing a V6 Mustang is worthless. The only thing the GT is good at is going fast in a straight line. The interior on it isn't too fancy either. While a car may look nice on the outside, I would be spending all my time inside, looking at what's inside, and the Mustang doesn't deliver.

The BMW seems nicer, but would it be more expensive too?

On a side note, which car has more rear leg room?

Hard choice indeed, neither car has much rear legroom. The BMW I'm sure is more refined then the Mustang but not as good looking. The Mustang has more raw power, but a 330 is plenty powerful and should handle better then a Mustang. Both cars should hold their value, 3-series is the only BMW that holds value and typically V8 sports cars keep more value then the lesser versions. I would expect the BMW to cost more in maintainenance and repairs. Don't forget to call your insurance company and see how much full coverage on each of these will cost you, that may help you make up your mind. I know I'd be happy with either car, though I'd lean towards the GT since its 3 years newer for the same price and all that power!

the only approaches wherein a mustang would be greater ideal would come all the way down to private determination. Mustangs are commencing to get impressive and performing properly, yet fall wanting the M3 for overall performance and convenience for helpful.
