As long as they are the same size (numbers on the tyre that look something like 195/60-15), speed and load rating (will look something like 88V) as the original tyres, then they'll be OK.
In my opinion Firestones are a good tyre for the money (last longer than most), but no doubt some folk will disagree on that. With every brand of tyre, from the cheapest to the dearest, you will find some people swear by them and some swear at them...

You are in a position to go to: tirerack.com website and check out 18 different brands of tires including Dunlop and Firestone. When you view a particular tire click on the word SURVEY. There will be a performance graph of the tire which includes:
Rank within category
% vs. Best in catagory
Would buy again
Hydroplane resistance
Wet traction
Cornering stability
Dry traction
Steering response
Light snow
Deep snow
Ice traction
Ride comfort
Noise comfort
Tread wear
I've been doing business with tirerack for 24 yrs. Great company to deal with. No sales tax. Shipping is about $5.00 per tire.
Have fun picking out your choice of tires. Take a long hard look at the Yokohama TRZ and open the SURVEY. It's far ahead of any Firestone or Dunlop in every catagory.

Tires are a personal preference, usually influenced by style and price. There should be a label somewhere(usually on a door or door jam) that gives the tire size and weight rating that the engineers designed the car to handle best and be safest to drive-stick to the info on the label INCLUDING THE INFLATION SPEC

it will be fine as long you sick to the correct sizes. dont go getting wider tires if you dont know what your doing and dont get lower profile tire if you're not going bigger rim. the speed rating should match or it can go higher, but never lower than what it came with. Dunlops are great tires for grip and traction and i personally dont trust firestone. too many upsets. treadwear rating can vary with whatever tire you get too.
