What is the best way to cut fiberglass?

I want to "bob" the fiberglass fender on my bike. That is the best method for doing this?

You might want to add some type of respirator (mask). You really need to avoid the ground glass that flies around.

Use a marker to determine your cut and as Ronnie said a Dremmel with a cut off wheel or with a diamond cutter.

Once you mark your cut line; since this is a fender, you might want to use some "easy release" masking tape also.

Once cut, use some 400+ grit sand paper to remove the sharp edges and little glass fibers you can't see.

Any grinder will do the job, just be sure to use one that best suits what cuts, mods you want to do (a disc or die grinder). You can also use Metal,Spade or Wood drill bits. Sand paper to smooth over the edges (preferably Wet & Dry).

Air powered die grinder w/ cut off wheels.Like a demel tool but much faster.Cover up and wear safety google.Cuts like butter.
