Nothing special. The ragtop design is flawed and cheaply made. The structure is not reinforced enough although not as bad as a Toyota Camry Solara, the wet noodle of the convertible bunch. Its looks are relative and purely personal. I think the lines are Bangledized like the 7 series and not clean enough although overall not bad from certain angles. The front lamps are ugly though. The wheels on the base are too small for such a vehicle. The problem is that there is nothing to compare it too until the 2010 Lexus IS convertible comes out so until then you will need to get a tan at the beach.

It's a great car. But some of the BMW techs are telling me they're starting to get more complaints from customers about the 328i engine (non-turbo) consuming oil at an alarming rate.

Just passing along the info... no personal experience except driving (and flooring) the 335i convertible a few times, and playing with the fancy electric hard convertible top.

Love the 328. Personally, I don't get too excited about a convertible. If I want the sun to beat down on the top of my head, I'll just open my sun roof!

My Mom was one of the first to get one in Michigan when she was getting rid of her Lexus. Hers is silver with gray interior, and she absolutely LOVES it! Of course, she has a need for speed in it, too.

It's a nice ride, but the wind gusts get pretty wicked for backseat passengers when you are traveling at high speeds. If you are to get one, the only issue it had when we first got it was the sealant from the drop-top. For the first two car washes, very little water would get in on the door sill, but nothing too major as the salesmen who also worked with my Dad and his 530xi, warned her about it. And, when traveling on the freeway, the top portion of the backseat which locks in place, has a tendency to flip down at times. Other than that, it's a great car, and if you do get it, welcome to the BMW club.

I think it looks great and for only 43,000. It looks similar to the 650i convertable, which is 83,000. it also has a 3.0 liter 350hp so it has plenty of power. Over all i think it is an awesome car.
