I have owned the truck for 6 months and its done this three times. Upon start-up (cold start), when the truck is placed in gear and accelerator pressed it does not move right away. The rpms will increase but the truck will not respond immediately. After a few seonds, you can feel the transmission drop in, but the acceleration is really slow. It will act this way until you shut the truck off, high rpms on take-off with low acceleration (almost sound like when someone is riding the clutch on a manual transmission). Then at highway speeds it seems to not want to shift into overdrive.(this morning 3300 rpms at speeds that normally have 2100) The check engine light does come on, but when the truck is turned off and restarted the problem clears. I do have an appointment to take in it, but I fear them not finding anything.

I was driving to my cottage about an hour away and when i got there, as i was going up a hill, a weird machine-gun like sound started from the front left of my car. Being very weird, i stopped the car. When I immideatly tried to restart the engine, the sound came up so i stopped. 10 minutes later it was back to normal, and i continued climbing the hill, and once all the way up, it restarted. So i did the same procedure and i got the same result.

The car is parked at my cottage ever since, what can it be?

the dealership is claiming that sand in the engine enabled the piston to hit the spark plug hard enough to close the gap & leave aluminum coloring on the plug. Its a 2006 with aprox. 800miles on it & less than 200 hrs oil has been changed on or before it was needed but ther saying its not under warranty because the sand so it will cost me $400 just to get it back or $1650 for them to fix. I think ther full of **** but id like a second opinion thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me

I went to Defensive driving school because I got a speeding ticket. And they told me that when you are 16 you can only have 1 passenger. But when you are 17 you can have 3 and 18 it is as many as your car can fit. (This is not including family members) But my friend is just getting her license and she said that in her manual (and this is what I remember) it says that you have to be 18 until you can have more than 1 in your car besides family. Does anyone have an answer for this? And what is your understanding of this rule?

I really miss the plane because it was pretty much one of a kind. Great safety record, and was smooth lookin' lol. From the side the top engine looked like a "S", well it seems that the top tail was built into the number 2 engine. And the dual rotating beacon lights on the top and bottom of the aircraft were unique, in which they didnt flash, but they seemed to slowly glow on and off. I miss my bird, but am glad that i got to fly on her about 10+ times or so in my life.

I was thinking of picking one up for 2 grand in great condition. Are they easy to work on if something goes wrong? Are parts inexpensive for the most part? What commonly goes wrong with these cars? I'm pretty good with working on cars but have been all domestic. I'm a little scared to purchase this car. Any info on these cars would be appreciated.

Getting in and out of my BMW 525 is difficult. Irritates sciatica when sitting with legs extended forward to reach pedals instead of more downward as in my wife's Honda Odyssey.

A seven and six year old were killed whist trying to cross the M56 mway Runcorn. As a former paramedic I despair at parents attitudes.Example six year old being allowed to stand up in car through sunroof when car was travelling at 50 mph.But when you try to say anything all you get is two fingers.Still my sympthies with the parents and hope they can live with themselves.

If Buyer purchases a car from a dealership with financing, whoever provides the financing will have a lien on the title. However, what physically happens to the title? Does the dealer transfer the title to the Buyer on the day of the initial sale and then file a UCC financing statement to record their interest? Or does the dealer hold onto the title until full payment is made (or perhaps transfer the title to the Bank or other institution that provides the financing)?

I was stupid last night...went to put oil in my car after I'd been driving, so the engine was warm. I spilled some and it caught fire. My first reaction was to get flour to put the fire out. I did that, then later on after it had all cooled off, I sprayed the engine off with water to get the flour off. This morning i sprayed it off again, but it still smells like there's flour burning off, and was still smoking a little bit after I drove to work. Is this normal or is this something i need to be seriously concerned about?

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a loud (not high-pitched) vibrating sound. It sounds like something under my car is loose but I don't see anything. It is most noticeable when I first start my car after it has been sitting a while. It seems worse when I am in reverse or braking. The cold also seems to make it worse. The noise goes away after my car warms up though (after maybe 10 min.). Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I am going to take it in, but I don't want to get screwed and have to pay a bunch of money just because I am a woman and have no idea what the problem might be. I REALLY appreciate any help. Thank you!

I have a 16.5 foot, 1990 Sprint bass boat. The metal flake paint and gel coat are faded. The boat was only $2800, so I really don't want to put much into it. Can I just take it to Maaco or someplace and have them use enamel paint on it? If not, what paint should I use and how much would it cost to get painted?
