transmission fluid is red
power steering fluid is either red or amber
antifreeze or coolant is green or yellow, or sometimes purple.
brake fluid, almost clear when it's poured on the floor, but it's light amber.
you have a leak, take it in to get fixed. cars weren't designed to operate properly with leaks.

it could be the new type of antifreeze or it could one of the following: wiper fluid, power steering fluid, tranny fluid or even brake fluid. take it to mechanic to find out which.

You have to be more specific on "area." It could be tranny fluid, oil or even coolant.
