Getting in and out of my BMW 525 is difficult. Irritates sciatica when sitting with legs extended forward to reach pedals instead of more downward as in my wife's Honda Odyssey.

I meant that I need another vehicle instead of my BMW.

I know that my mother's 98 Honda CRV has a pretty straight upright chair that may be good for you. She is only 5'3" so she cannot extend her legs very far, the pedals are more downward like you say.
Also, I know a lot of newer vehicles are coming out with electronically controlled pedals, that can be moved closer or further away, which would be ideal for you. That along with a power seat should be perfect. THe only car I can think of off the top of my head that has those features is the new Chevrolet Tahoe. But I know others do as well.
Good Luck, BTW the Honda CRV is a great vehicle.

Having such a seat installed in yor BMW would pose two problems.

One is that your head would bump into the roof of the car. The other is that your visibility out the front window might be impaired, as the seat and window placement are designed for only a limited range of driver positions.

Check it out for yourself. Take a tape measure and measure the distance between the floor and the ceiling of each car. You will probably find that the Odyssey has, at least, a foot more room. Just imagine the reverse of your suggestion. How would you see out of the van's window if the BMWs seat were installed?
