My old 1995 S-10, 4 cylinder 5sp used to get 420 miles on a full tank. approx 17 gallons.

My 98 S-10 four wheel drive with a 262 cubuc in. (4.3 Liter) V-6 gets 16 in town and 24 on the open highway. It's got 3:73's in the rear end.

Well my 96 2wd extended cab
with the 5 speed stick shift and the 2.2 4 cylinder engine

That got about 22 city
30 highway.

the 2 s10's we have, both 4 cyl 5 speed, one a 1995 , other a 2000 ext cab, both get 28mpg.

I personally wouldn't drive over 250 miles to a tank just to be safe. this all will depend on your driving habits weather you have a lead foot or not!!

To answer if its a v6 it will get around 16-20mpg.
