I have a 1982 Yamaha virago 750cc engine. I dropped it the other day. Bent the shift lever inwards. Fixed that. Was able to fire it up then drove it around the block a couple times yesterday. But today it just cranks and cranks until the battery goes low. Will not turn over. I tried every position on the petcocks to get it gasoline, choke open choke closed, added some oil just in case, everything, it will not turn over. Thoughts?

nissan was advertising leases on brand new versa's for only $60 a month. so i am considering getting a versa since it is the only car in my price range. would you recommend the versa? any kind of complaints. i test drove a 2008 versa sedan yesterday and it was much smoother than my car (i have a 2004 kia rio). and i felt higher up which is nice when you are only 5'1". so would you recommend a versa (i would probably get a 2007 hatchback) or should i save money and keep my 2004 kia rio?

My 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 does not have enough engine power to change the transmission. It really struggles to get up a small incline. When I let off the accelerator it changes gears. I've been driving around like this for a couple of days. I had it put on the little hand held computer at Auto Zone & the only thing it showed was the purge valve. Everyone tells me this wouldn't cause the problems I'm having. Please Help!

I start it up with the full choke and then after a few minutes I turn it down but then after I rev the engine a few times it cuts off. So I start it up again with the full choke and it won't start unless I have the throttle wide open with the full choke, as soon as I let the throttle go it cuts off. Its an 07 Kawasaki 250 Ninja. So its fairly new. What could be the problem?

Well, I was rebuilding a gearbox this weekend and came to fiting the frame, tightened everything up, gear lever on, clutch cable on.. Anyway, i came to give it a quick check to make sure it was going throguh all the gears correctly, but i can only get neutral, 1st and 2nd, (and even they are hard to get into to) I know i have put it together correctly from the manual and there isnt anything obvious that is wrong.. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be causing this.. ANYTHING?

Thanks.

My car was running fine then the next morning it wouldn't start. I jump started it and it ran fine, I turned it off and tried to turn it back on immediately and it made a clicking sound, but wouldn't turn on. Does this sound like the battery needs to be replaced or do you think it's the alternator? Thanks!

My sister is selling me her car (95 Olds Achieva) but she lives 92 miles away and I can't diagnose it until I get it. I am trying to budget to pay for it, pick it up, and get it fixed... That's why I'm asking this before I get it. I'll give "symptoms", please help me figure out what could be wrong.
It will turn over but won't start, the lights and radio work, she said the battery is low and when she tried to jump start, it wouldn't work. Could it possibly be the starter, alternator, or battery???

Thanks for any advice!

Does anyone have any idea what I would need to check next? Engine light is back on. Even had an elbow hose changed at the time the plugs were replaced in the lower half of the engine as it was found to be collapsed. No improvement in performance after all this. I would appreciate any input. Will go for a mile or two, then stutter and has no acceleration. Have tried in automatic and manual mode transmission. (Transaxle)? No real difference in performance. Very frustrating and dangerous as you never know how the car is going to act.

I just had my front brakes and rotors replaced less than a month ago. I was wondering what is going on, especially since I won't have any money for repairs for about 3 weeks. Is this something I might be able to wait on till then (not that I have a choice). Thanks.

ok, I bought a brand new Nissan Sentra (2k7) back in February. It is the beginning of October, and I feel that I have been neglecting her finish. I keep her very VERY clean, detailing weekly, amor-all insides, tire shine, everything! I wanted to wax my car, but after much research I see that there are some people who oppose waxing NEW cars. They say it destroys certain parts of the modern paint job. I just want to find some truth to all of this, and find out which is the best route for me to go. She is still very shiny, so i dont want to compromise that, i would just like to preserve the shine as much as possible! I thought waxing was to be done as often as possible, but now I'm very IF-fy on the subject, and dont want to RUIN anything. I bought Meguiar's Cleaner Wax, thinking it was a good way to go, and tried it on my g/f's Stratus, shined it up a lil bit, although it was a lil dull, and honestly cant really quite tell the difference. What should i use?! Please be thorough!!!!!
