I got a 350 Chevy engine, the timing chain was Verry loose, were u could move it alot...so i replaced the timing chain and the camshaft gear..i didnt replace the crankshaft gear ''smaller gear on bottom'' and i have the motor running it runs good in park but *** soon as u put it in gear its like it dont have no Power...wont even brake tork it...carb is good on it...trans is good.... *Note* the Vac. Advance on the Dist. is turned all the way clockwise ''Vac. Advance is facing Passenger front seat''....i kno its way too far advanced but that the only way it will start......does anybody know if not replacing the crankshaft gear will effect the engines power......PLEASE HELP!!!

I have an Icon Mainframe helmet and it smells really bad. I did take out the cheek pads and washed them. I heard you can put your whole helmet in the dishwasher, does this work? Any ideas would be great.

Basically, I kind of got in a crash with my escort by fender benderinga work van at about 40 mph, and about a week afterwards my alternator belt got burned out and the car was unable to run. I looked at the engine and it seemed to have shifted over to the right, causeing one of the alternator pullies to be pushed up against my fender, making it unable to put the belt on around that pully. I do not know whta is wrong with my car, but I took it to a collision repair shop and they told me it was a $1000 dollar repair. Can anyone help as to explain what there is wrong with my vehicle and if this problem is selg fixable? thanks a lot.

Hey all I dropped boiling butter on my foot and couldn't get it off in time. Caused 2nd degree burns (as per Dr.) but now it's been 4 days and the pain is getting worse. I have kept it wrapped up but it overheated thanks to 90 degree weather here in PA. Now I have blisters. I got a tetanus shot and script for burn meds but it's getting worse. It won't even peel. Today it bubbled over in blisters. Anyone have any suggestions so I can get some pain relief? Im on tylenol w.codeine and burn meds. Pic below:

I own a 2007 nissan altima. I love it! However, the brakes squeal. I have been to the dealership twice and they said that in the morning, the brakes may squeal due to condensation in the morning; however, it is not just in the morning anymore. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

This is a 1981 Yamaha Maxim 650 that has been sitting for a few years. Is this just a sign that two of the spark plugs are not firing or fouled or something more? Will new plugs correct this problem?

another question about our bayliner repairs... the gas gauge had not been working at all so they repaired it. since we picked the boat up from the shop we noticed the needle on gas gauge jumps constantly. we estimated the tank was approximately 3/4 full when we first brought it back.

we ran the boat for a couple of days then figured we needed gas- although the gauge would jump from full to 3/4 to half a tank. we had no idea how low we were. went to marina to fill it - it is a 23 gal. tank & it took 14.6 gals to fill it up. so it had less than half a tank when we filled up.

is it normal for a boat gas gauge to jump like this? if so - i guess we have to assume that the lowest reading on the gas gauge is always the truest reading? what do you think - is the gauge still broken or is this how boat gas gauges are supposed to work?

If the a/c is working properly what should be the temperature of the air coming out of the vents? And what factor play a role in duct temperature I've been having some problems with the a/c not blowing cool enough and am trying to narrow it down. Also does the temperature outside factor on the temperature the a/c can blow to or no? Thanks nick

I sprayed the termals of my car with WD40 and then it dawned on me how flammable it is ... can anyone tell me what (if anything) do I need to make sure a spark doesn't lead to a fire/ explosion? Corrosion is gone ... I cleaned it up as well as I could ...and the car statred without a prob. Am I worried for no reason -- or do I need to use something to clean the battery to avoid the big bang? i have a nissan sunny, its made this noise a month after i bought it from the car yard. the noise is coming from where the wheels are. I have no idea about cars, im a chick with no clue lol. makes a creek sorta springy noise when people sit in it. just recently had my brake pads changed, now the it makes that noise when im downhill turning the steering wheel? any ideas?

I would say its a pontiac and it is PBH also on it in different locations are... 10000708 and e198 Can anyone tell me what this motor is please? i cant find the PBH suffix code anywhere.
