do the cv boots or joints affect all the wheels or the front wheels only?

... or perhaps somebody has already invented it, and but it's far too inefficient to produce in large-scale? Or perhaps the cost of producing it is far too uneconomical? Or whatsoever preventing the Flying Car into public for now?

What's the actual problem here? For example, we already have the technology for Jet and Rocket engine.... why hasn't nobody just apply them into the automobile and replace the typical Internal Combustion engine?

Well, the only Fying Car I've ever watched is in Back to the Future movie: Flying De Lorean. Woo-hoo!!

We often see rail tracks crossing or merging in one other to facilitate trains divert their tracks. Can anyone please guide me to view a picture with most number of tracks criss-crossing one other at one place, making it the most complicated rail track in the world?

I had a new stereo system (Pioneer) installed in my 2004 Chevy Tahoe yesterday with XM Radio. Everything was fine until I realized the open door chime and the "locked door" chime no longer exist. Is this normal when rewiring the system?? Also the radio controls on steering wheel no longer work. Is this normal when an after market stereo is installed?? Thanks for your help.

I'm somewhat competent when it comes to cars and motors. Just was wondering about compression. I understand higher compression engines tend to make more horsepower. What are pros and cons of higher compressed engines (aside from the fact they're less relaible with turbos and superchargers-correct me if I'm wrong). Why do some manufacturers go with higher compressed engines (like corvette and camaro) while others choose lower compressed (like mustang). As I understand, most supercars (ferrari, lamborghini, porsche etc) are highly compressed. Does this correlate to why their so high maintenance and unreliable? Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and be as thorough as possible. Thanks in advance...

im in adelaide Australia, everywhere i go there is cops trying to fine ppl left right and centre, there is speed cameras, RBTs, drug testers, traffic cops, motor bike cops, everywhere i go, they just dont seem to be doing anything else except trying to get money out of drivers. rego, license, taxes, etc etc it goes on and on.
i just feel like i am a honest good person, not a criminal, why am i annoyed at cops? the criminals willsteal a car, have no licence, drink drive, speed, then rob a store, beat someone up, if they get caught, they wil ge nothing but a slap on the wrist.....
im sick of it
am i the only one that feels like this?
is it only like this in adelaide or eveywhere else in the world?

Surely trams would help cut road traffic & thus less air pollution as already been proven in Croydon & cites like Manchester & Nottingham & would help create more jobs in the area.

If the problem is laying rails & causing distruption, why not look into having a trolleybus system? This would have the same benefits of less road traffic, but with less expenditure needed in construction & mantainence.

As I live 7 miles from Uxbridge & I am a tram enthusiast (no jokes please) I was looking foward to seeing the system being built & riding on it.

I've done a lot of research, but I still am having an issue narrowing it down to a handful of cars (let alone one or two). My problem is that, I'm worried I won't be able to get a real feel for the car with just looking at it or taking it for a 30 minute test drive. Is that really adequate? I mean, this is a potentially large purchase of something that is going to be a big part of my day-to-day life for at least the next couple of years. I know I'm not tied to the car if I buy or lease it, but I really don't want to go through the hassle of selling it, trading it in, trying to swap a lease, or any other time consuming measure that I'd prefer to avoid.

So, would an extended test drive be something I'd be able to convince a dealership of for me? If not for a weekend, but maybe an overnight use of the car? I've known of people and had friends do this, but I'm not sure if this is a typical occurence.

The idea of sailing fascinates me and I've picked up books from the library just to learn whatever I can.

Today I purchased the only boating book that my local bookstore had, Steve Sleight's "The New Complete Sailing Manual".

I've never been around the water much and never spent any time on boats. I even have a tendancy to get motion sickness which I understand can be overcome by wearing a patch.

Other than reading and maybe joining a club to learn more and take lessons, I don't know what else to do.

I may or may not buy or build a kit boat for lakes in the future but I'm just playing with ideas for now as far as a boat goes.

The waters that I'm aware of around here for playing are Buckeye Lake, Hoover Reservoir, and Alum Creek State Park in Ohio.

I'm open to any advice that one would care to share with me as far as boats to own for a family of three and maybe a few friends.

Any advice for getting started sailing would be great too.

Thanks in advance to all.

We are looking for good gas mileage but are leaning toward the Element because we have occasional snow & understand it has all wheel drive. We also frequently have 1-2 teens and a dog.

I've been working with a friend for the past few months on switching the engine out of one '91 F150 into another.

Yesterday we finally got everything alligned, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the starter, put in a new thermostat, hooked up the celenoid, etc. and put in a new battery. Then we put gas in and tried to start her up.

We know we're getting power and spark but don't think any gas is going from the tanks to the engine. We read the manual and found the Fuel Line reset button in the cab by the clutch. Reset it. Tried again but nothing happened. The engine seems like it's trying to turn over but we don't smell gas.

What could be going wrong?

The only thing we can imagine is that maybe the fuel lines we attached have heat sealed too tightly over the valves or we've clamped them too tightly and so no gas is getting into the engine? They're on so tight that we can't pull them off by hand and would have to cut them.
