Have you fully loosened the adjusting bolt etc.?
I far as I can remember the patrol has twin belts, if this is the case you will have to remove the outer belt before you can remove the inner belt.
If you cannot get it off because it is very tight in the pulleys then you have not loosened the adjuster enough. If this is the case you will have even more trouble trying to refit a new tighter belt.
If it is just jammed behind a pulley, try cutting it with a craft knife and turn the engine over (without starting) this may power it out.

You must remove the front belt first.

um ......take off alternator belt...F**king dickh**d only Jokin you must be stoned or do you mean you can't get the belt off, try taking the adjuster off.
