Wrightspeed EV - X1. Definitely. It's an electric car with Atom chassis.
If you mean a production car, I'd go with Tesla Roadster - all electric as well.
Both cars have very good torque (182 and 200ft-lbs respectively), flat right from 0 rpm till about 6000 rpm and the engine goes upto 14000 rpm, and it's mounted in a ultra-light chassis.
The first goes from 0 to 60mph in 3.07 seconds and the latter in under 4 seconds. The traction control is extremely precise.
Their price range would be around $100,000, just a small fraction from a supercar's price...
Unless you drive a Bugatti Veyron or an Ultima GTR, the X1 or its gasoline counterpart (and supplier of the chassis) Ariel Atom would be the clear winners.
Well, of course, all above depend on the driver's skills too...:)

'71 Plymouth 'Cuda with a 383!
Pontiac GTO 63-73 with a 389 topped with a six pack carbs!
'71 Ford Ranchero with a 429 Cobrajet under the hood!!!
Late '60's, early '70's Dodge, either a Charger, or a Challenger, with either a 383, or a 440!
Mid '60's AC Cobra with a 427!
Anything with a not-so stock V8! Either a NOS, Fuel inject, or a blower!!

Depends on what kind of race your looking at, For rally, I would use the STI suby. For a road race I'll take the Skyline. if it's a drag race I'll use a top fuel.

BUT IF YOU ARE GOING TO RACE IN A DRIFT RACE YOU SHOULD GET THESE GET THESE CARS:
NISSAN 350Z
MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION
NISSAN PULASAR
P.S REMEBER THESE CARS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE CARS THEY CAN COST YOU ABOUT

SO I THINK YOU SHOULD GET THE NISSAN PULSAR BECAUSE IT IS GOOD AT DRIFT AND DRAG.
