... or perhaps somebody has already invented it, and but it's far too inefficient to produce in large-scale? Or perhaps the cost of producing it is far too uneconomical? Or whatsoever preventing the Flying Car into public for now?

What's the actual problem here? For example, we already have the technology for Jet and Rocket engine.... why hasn't nobody just apply them into the automobile and replace the typical Internal Combustion engine?

Well, the only Fying Car I've ever watched is in Back to the Future movie: Flying De Lorean. Woo-hoo!!

And you want some of those idiots driving around in the sky? Jet turbine and air craft engines really drink fuel the machine has to be ultra light totally stable and satellite computer controlled to safe areas so if a problem happens it will not fall out of the sky on my house. Young flyers doing loops and aerobatic stunts with the computer disabled I see only huge liabilitys and limited benefits. So to answer your question... Insurance is why there is no flying cars. AS soon as lanes in the sky are marked and flying cars are totally foolproof then we may see them.

Since you already watch Back to the Future, of course you remember the floating skateboard.

It was a real invention, and I believe the flying cars also had been invented with alternative source of energy.

But oil industry prevented them to be produce.

Flying cars have been built. As cars they make good airplanes. As airplanes they make good cars. In other words, they are lousy cars and lousy airplanes. Nobody wants them.
