Here's what I did on a 302 ford:
Unbolt the fan and fan shroud. Replace the fan blade bolts to hold the water pump pulley to the pump.

Buy an electric fan kit that mounts to the radiator. make sure it comes with an automatic switch that turns on at the desired temperature and a relay. I recommend wiring it in so that it goes off with the ignition switch, that way it won't run after you park the car & possible drain the battery.

You're better off with the original clutch fan,but if you're bent on doing this, then just get a 2 fan eletric,go directly from the battery and mount a toggle switch under your dash board so when in motion you can shut it off and turn it one when stopped,or connect it to the sending unit and it'll come on automaticly,i'm telling you just keep it the way it is,it's gonna be a hassle, cause the fan thats in it now uses very little power from the engine, thats why Chevy started using the clutch fan cause it's effortless to spin. And it's probably a 305cid engine unless it's not the original.

Go to Flex-a-Lite website look at your fan options. Measure your radiator height and width. Determine the largest fan you can fit, or the largest fan combo(2 fans of equal size). Then you have to decide if you want the fans to push the air through the radiator or pull the air through (push fan vs pull fan). Pull fans are better in my opinion. Then purchase the fans and they will come with complete instructions way better than I could ever explain.
