Cut out and weld in a fuel door? use the new filler pipe? I know your just trying to keep old paint on the road a few more years. Isn't 30 years enough! Just leave the filler pipe tied with a rope anf pull it over to the wheel opening on the rubber hose take tha cap off and fill the tank. Kind of dangerious should it get loose and rub on the tire. I reccomend a tool box gas tank in the bed of the truck and eliminate the side filler completely or get another Bed.
