The most recent problem is that the engine temp gauge goes up to the red and the check engine light goes on, but it isn't overheating, it blows no fluid and makes no noise. As soon as it gets to the red, the needle drops to cold and the car stops putting out heat (through the heater) and I only get cold air all the time we've replaced the thermostat and still no luck still always cold air even in summer what the problem also when idleing my oil pressure gauge drops down and the oil in my car was just changed we've just replaced the tansmission filter and it raddles and shakes terrible idleing.

Okay, this is a serious question and I would value your advice.

Here is my situation. I bought my first boat in July of this year. I went cheap. It's a 1990 Sprint Pro Bass 266 with a Merc 115 hp outboard. Since I've bought it, the tilt/trim has gone out, I had to replace the voltage regulator, replace the shift and throttle cables. It's been out of the water for nearly a month. I replaced the trim motor/pump, but the new one already broke. The bait well pump and aerator don't work and I had to plug them because the shutoff valve doesn't close all of the way.

I've put close to $1000 into a boat that I bought for $2800. Because I don't own a vehicle that can tow it, I rent a slip for $200/month. So when the boat's not in the water, I am losing $.

I can get a Nitro 750, w/ 90 hr Merc, new for $16750. Don't want to spend that kind of $, but Mercury is running a 3 yr warranty special now on new engines. So that's 3 yrs with no worries. Thoughts?

I heard that the splines at the drive shaft need to be relubed with a better grease. If so how should I remove and replace the rubber boot? The truck is a 95', manual trans, 4.0L, 4x4, reg cab. Any suggestions?

I'm watching Tokyo Drift right now and I just don't understand how they can afford all those tires. The one guy went through 4 sets in one day. Are tires really cheap in Japan? 17" high performance tires start at about $500 for a set of decent ones.

I've noticed that the shifter on my 5-speed 1991 Toyota Celica GT is loose compared to other manuals. My dad has a Mazda RX-8 and his shifts smooth without any wiggling at all. Is there a way to tighten it?

I lowered the car correctly with eibach springs and struts. The car never made sounds until about 2 years after it was lowered. Everyone keeps saying it is because it is lowered but it is not the reason. When i hit small bumps in the road i hear a clicking especially in the front left. Only the front end it making a noise. It does make a clicking sound when i turn (sign of a bad cv axle) but is this an early sign of a bad cv axle?

There is a noise in the front of the Buick. Thought at first it was worn tires. Got new tires for the front and the noise is getting louder. It is worse when you turn the steering wheel to the right and you can feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

My car has been losing coolant for a few weeks now, but hasn't overheated beyond that point where the fan cuts in and everything cools down. A couple of days ago it started misfiring and today the AA have diagnosed a possible Cylinder Head Gasket failure. The engine appears to hold pressure, then suddenly lose it, repeatedly. It causes it to misfire and run lumpy. Inbetween misfires, it runs as smoothly as it ever did, so should I anticipate damage to the internals of the cylinder?

I'm wondering which came first, the Gasket failure or the Coolant loss? Is it possible that the Gasket has been failing and so causing the coolant loss (the water has appeared to be "muddy" in the expansion tank), or is it more probable that the coolant loss is from somewhere else and has caused the failure of the Gasket? I'm confused, as you can tell. I'm wary of turning up at a garage and, as a female, being blinded with science!

Also, if anyone has any idea on probable cost, I'd be grateful.

Here are the details. I hear something about a main relay going bad or something when it is hot. Yesterday was a hot day. Though I am not sure if it is a relay problem. Here is what happens:

1. Put key in ignition, turn key. All lights come on fine.
2. Check headlights, they are bright.
3. Turn key to start. Nothing but a loud CLICK coming from what I think is the starter. Nothing more happens. If I hold the key in the start position, the lights dim just a little as you'd expect, and is clearly not the battery.

I need to figure this out TODAY. I have to go to San Antonio tomorrow. Any help is appreciated.

So, the question is can I use a Camry air intake manufactured by brands such as Injen, AEM, K&N for my Lexus ES 300? The year is 2002, 3.0L V6 engine, I was wondering since the v6 engine is identical with its Camry counter-part. The only problem I have, is that there aren't any air intakes for my car but there is for the Camry. So I would appreciated any knowledgeable input from you guys. Thanks.
