The computer is shutting down the engine to prevent serious damage.

Do you have enough engine oil?
Do you have oil pressure during cranking?
Do you have enough coolant in the system?
The computer has set a safety code to kill the engine. Remove the negative battery cable for a couple minutes to clear the computer codes, and then try it again.

The ASD relay could be bad. Open up the underhood relay and fuse box and locate the ASD relay. There should be 2 other relays that are identical. Change places with two of the relays. If you swap the ASD and Starter relay and the engine won't crank, you have a bad relay.
I thought of one other thing, but it may not apply. If you have one of those keys with a chip in it the chip has died.
If you duplicate the key with a chip, the engine will start and run, but then shut down.

first thing you need to do is have the computer scanned on it,this will give you a trouble code, and also check the asd relay for it,if that goes dead it wont run,it will start but then die out on you, from what you have described its sounds more like the relay ,change that and see if that helps it,the computer scan will help you in repairing this, even though it wont run the computer should have a few trouble codes in it,good luck with it.
