My mom has a 2002 Honda Civic LX Sedan, and when she takes out the key and when the door is open is makes a long, sharp peircing "BEEEEEEEP" noise. I thought it was the headlights on, because when the headlights are on it makes that noise when the door is open, but that wasn't the case. It makes a long beeeeep noise with the key out, headlights off, and door open, when the door is closed it stops. My dad is a mechanic but he's not home to do it himself, he just told me to spray WD40 inside the key hole and stick the key in and out and lubricate it because something might be stuck. Should I be doing that? Or what's wrong?

I have a 1997 Nissan Altima with 195,000 miles and the original clutch. Just recently, it has been doing some strange things. For example, if I am in third gear and speed up, the RPM's will go really, really high and then it will level out where it should be. When I am in first and just starting to move, I give it tons of gas and it doesn't take off like it used to. The RPM's go way up at strange times and I am smelling burnt rubber. I still have no problem shifting, the pedal is still easy to push and it doesn't slip out of gear. Any suggestions?

I have a 1886 Sea Ray 21' bowrider; low hours, excellent fiberglass condition. The previous owner did a floor job that was done incorrectly and now the entire floor has to be replaced including stringers. I have built houses and can do plumbing/handy man type work. Is repairing a boat floor something I should be able to do?

On a two way road, one lane each way, 35mph, there is a posted sign saying, "DO NOT PASS." There are side streets off of this road. Does this mean that I cannot pass cars that are stopped and waiting to turn left or that I cannot pass slow cars with no indication of turning left or both? The lanes are plenty wide enough for 2 cars to fit through.

Car does not shimmy, there are no noises, & it is not pulling to one side. Alignment was suggested by the tire dealer.

The kbb.com and other website list used car private party value to be way high and no one is willing to pay. When all things are equal, i.e. car runs well, no known problems, no dings or no major accidents, there ought be a place to determine what that car is worth.

Where I live and work there are three gates to a 200 acre priavte estate. One is pedestrain only, one has not been used since 1950s, and the other is for cars.
Anyone following SatNav directions gets sent to one of the first two, which is no use at all.
How do I change it so that vehicles are directed in the vehicle entrance? Is it a Royal Mail problem, or Sat Nav? Does all the data for SatNav come from one source?
Its inconvenient now, but there could be an emergency situation one day...Thanks

We were travelling home from the zoo today along this road. We were in the outside lane (only 2 lanes) and this stretch of the motorway bends sharply to the right. A tiny little baby deer just strolled out from grassland on our right, straight in front of us. Hubby was driving and steered as far to the right as he could but it was in the middle of our lane and we were almost on the grass but couldnt avoid it. The passenger front corner hit the poor little thing. I can't stop thinking of it. We were so close when it walked out and it all happened so fast that there was nothing else we could do. (We had all our children in the minibus at the time and were going about 65, and there was a car in the inside lane). There was no way we could even stop and check it and couldn't see what happened to the poor thing after because of the angle of the road.
