I have a 04 stratus with an after market Viper Alarm. I'm not the original owner of the vehicle so I don't know the commands on the remote. I used to be able to hold down the aux key and it would crack my windows and if I kept holding it down the windows would roll all the way down, did this in order to ventilate the car on hot days. Well since this weekend I have been unable to roll any of the windows down using the controls on the drivers door and the remote feature also stopped working. I know the window work because the passengers can roll their windows down with their controls. So is it the pad on my door that stopped working or is it something on my alarm? I had my nephews over and they may have played with my remote.

Sorry for the long post, thanks for the help!!

I own a 1995 Buick LeSabre. Today I was driving and when I tried to brake, the car wouldn't stop as it normally does. Instead, I had to push the brakes all the way down to get the car to stop. At first I thought my brake fluid must be low, but I checked the fluid level and it is full (I haven't added any since I bought the car three months ago and it's still full. Is this normal?). Does anyone know what the problem is so that I can save myself from being ripped off by a mechanic? Could something be preventing the brake fluid from getting to the brakes? Could the pads be bad? Or could it be something else?

When I change the engine of my car, will the odometer be automatically reset or should we have to reset it manually? I have a Ford Crown Victoria 1993 model. I bought it from a colleague recently and the car is running pretty smoothly. My colleague told me that the engine was changed recently. The car has covered 2,30,000 miles. Is there a possibility that odometer was not reset when the engine was changed or does that get reset automatically?

I drive a 2002 honda accord coupe and since a few months ago there has been this kind of clicking noise coming from i'm assuming my a/c or heater motor. it gets louder as i turn the ac or heat higher (however the noise isn't there when ac/heater is not on)... what could this be? is it critical? is it going to cost a fortune to fix it? any suggestion?

I have a Volkswagen Jetta .....i think its a 2003 and i cant change the tire......the problem is that the tire will not come offf.......i am here at my house and the tire is completely flat.....so i cant do what i usually do and drive to go fill the tire up with air at the gas station

Ok, so i removed all the bolts and the tire just wont come off.....i was thinking of spraying some oil on it but when i sprayed it got on the brake disc.......i have tried 2 people yanking the tire off but no good.......should i just drench the thing with oil?

My last resort was to tie a rope to the rim and the other end to another car and pull the tire off like that.....but then i'm afraid the car will be pulled off the jack, tooo..........please help

Hi.

MIL and I have a dilemma. She says you can't cross yellow double lines to turn into a driveway, she says you have to find the nearest street, turn into that, come back out and then turn to where you were wanting to go, thus not crossing the lines. I say that you are allowed to, to go/come from a driveway. Who's right? We're in NY>

I've tried everything to figure this one out but it is beyond me.

My car was stolen, and when I got it back, I had to rebuild it, and when I was done, the blower motor would not work. I could turn the dial, and the compressor would kick on and everything, but no air moved. Spent a day tryin to fix it, but nothing. The next day, went to my car, turned on the A/C one more time and all of a sudden the blower motor kicked on, and worked ever since (bout 4 days), untill today, when out of nowhere it shut off and I can't seem to get it to work again....

Any ideas?

I have an 02 Nissan maxima with 128000 miles on it. I just recently changed the spark plugs on it and after that I started having some problems

The first problem was that my RPM gauge went out.

Second problem was that my SERVICE ENGINE SOON light was on and it would take about 10 seconds until the car had started.

I took it to autozone and they read the SES lights that were on and it said that i needed a new

Crankshaft Position Sensor P0725 and an Engine Speed input Circuit Malfunction.

My problem is i have no clue where it is LOCATED and how to replace it.

Thanks!

Andrew

Last year, I got a written referral for using my cell phone on the bus! I was so pissed. I ride the school bus 6 hours in total a DAY! What else am I gonna do? The road is bumpy and I can't do H.W! My Bus driver will NOT let us even LISTEN TO MUSIC! THERE IS NO RULE AGAINST BOTH OF THEM IN THE STUDENT HANDBOOK! I talked to the A/P at school and she said that I didn't obey the driver, thats why I got it. But! What if the bus driver told me to do something negative?? Everyone strongly dislikes the bus driver. Is there any way to get her fired. She has worked for the county bus system for 15+ yrs. Please help. The reason why she told wrote I was disrespectful is because I respectfully told her that there is no rule printed in my student handbook about restriction of cell phone/ ipods. My parents do not have to time to back me up. They even took my phone away. Here is a copy of my referral.....

THe truck has 109500 miles on the clock. The manufacturers recommendation is 5w30. I have a friend who owns a lube shop and he says that I should be using 15w40 and that the only reason that the manufacturers recommend 5w30 is because that is how they maximize mpg and in order to advertise that they get that much per gallon they have to reccomend the oil type that will allow that, but thicker oil is better for the engine. A mechanic friend of mine said I should use thicker oil like 10w30 or 10w40. I aksed the people at Jiffy Lube and they said that I should use 5w30 and that if I use thicker oil it is going to make my engine wear quicker because the engine will have to work harder. I am getting mixed information here. I just need someone who knows what the hell they are talking about to explain to me what to use and why. Are there any experts out there who can please help me? Thanks.
