The first thing to do is get the air and fuel filters checked and replaced. Get the PCM scanned to see if the computer picked something up that would help you diagnose the problem. If it didn't pick up anything, I would check for a vacuum leak at the intake area and the big vacuum hose to the brake booster. Then check all the secondary ignition cables and spark plugs for corrosion or carbon tracking. After that I would clean the throttle body and IAC bores and pintle of the carbon deposits. Then run the car with an injector cleaner and see what happens. Good luck.

I have the 2004 Prix, and think I have experienced a similar problem. When the engine first starts on mine, the speedometer rolls to the 140mph mark, and then back to 0, I suppose to get fluids in, if you try to put it in gear before then, the engine shuts off.

From what the dealer told me, my model at least used exhaust fumes to help start the engine, instead of just expelling them into the air, making the car more enviromental friendly and more efficient.

For factory superchargers (which the GTP has) you are suppose to let the engine sit in park for 2 seconds before you shut it off, and I suppose 2 seconds after you turn it on, before putting it into gear.

The GP is a great car, Good luck

I'd love to know if the stalling started AFTER or before the fluid flushes. If is was before, fluid changes will not affect or help this type of problem. You could have issues with any number of things, from an electrical problem to a bad spark plug. I would start simple, with a bottle of fuel injection cleaner. If it was after the fluid flushes, something may have gotten wet that didn't like it, like the ignition wires or a sensor. Are there any lights on in the dash? Check engine light?
