I've tried everything to figure this one out but it is beyond me.

My car was stolen, and when I got it back, I had to rebuild it, and when I was done, the blower motor would not work. I could turn the dial, and the compressor would kick on and everything, but no air moved. Spent a day tryin to fix it, but nothing. The next day, went to my car, turned on the A/C one more time and all of a sudden the blower motor kicked on, and worked ever since (bout 4 days), untill today, when out of nowhere it shut off and I can't seem to get it to work again....

Any ideas?

guess the question is 'what did you have to rebuild?"
it sounds like you have a bad ground for the blower motor. That ground is under the dash at or behind the right side kick panel. If the ground is loose or corroded you will have excessive resistance in the circuit and the motor won't work. If you rebuilt anything in that area, I'd check the ground wire first.

the second thing I would check are the connections for all of the wires in the blower motor circuit. the only connections are at the blower motor, the blower motor resistor and the fan switch. More often than not, intermittant problems are caused by terminals in the connectors that are bent, pushed back or loose. You can try wiggling the connector halves to see if you can get the motor to run, or if its running, to cut off.

another thought is you may have a bad relay. you can swap the heater/ac relay in the underhood fuse box with the horn relay to see if the motor works with a new relay. if it doesn't change, the relay is probably good provided the horn works.
The blower motor could have open windings that could cause the problem but that wouldn't be related to any theft and recovery work. I would use the approach of asking "what changed" if it was working before but is not now.

hope that helps

If the brushes in the blower motor are worn out it can be erratic like you discribe. You can actually bump the motor make it start.
