There are two things to look at to determine if you need an alignment. The first you already mentioned is that the vehicle is not pulling to one side. The other thing you need to look at to determine if you need an alignment was the condition of your previous tires before you replaced them. Were they wearing on one edge more than another or did they wear evenly? (ie the outer edge of the tire wore faster than the inner edge).
If the tires wore evenly across the entire tire, then an alignment is typically not necessary, if not the an alignment would help fix any problems with improper tire wear.

I always get the alignment. After going through a set ot tires, there can be some wear and the alignment could get knocked around since you must have hit a few pot holes or other rough road surfaces at some time.

is just a suggestion they are your tires, but its alway wiser to do it its not that you need it but most cars always do even if it dont pull it can cause tire wear.. but its not like a have to thing... but when was the last time you had it done? has it been a few months... alignmenntst dont last a long time people think they do but they dont think about railroad tracks and pot holes and curbs only takes one pothole sometime.. if you dont have the money then wait but remember your tires life depend on alignments and air

They are just trying to upsell you. Just get the tires on and forget the alignment as long as the old ones wore evenly
