A small amount of white smoke is fine. One of the by-products of combustion is water. A small amount of white smoke just means you're seeing the water vapor coming out your exhaust as steam.

If you're seeing a large plume of white smoking coming out the back then you've got problems with water entering the combustion chamber.

However by your description, it sounds like the water vapor from the normal combustion process.

Sounds like a gasket, probably the intake manifold leaking a little antifreeze into the intake ports. When reving, you don't notice the smoke, let it accumulate at idle and then you see it when you rev. Monitor your oil and coolant levels over a month, see what is going down.

Turbocivic, it's not a cracked head! You would have tonnes of white smoke if it was cracked! It's definitely a gasket, either intake or a head gasket. Not worth fixing if the leak is small but watch it doesn't get worse.

water condensation in your exhaust pipe, like you would find if the car had been setting for a while without being run everyday.Or some one had just had the motor apart and had been working on it and condensation got inside the motor then and it's taking a while for it to evaporate out and that is the puff of steam you see!

Most likely if you're not losing oil then it's not a cracked head but rather a bad head gasket... cheap to replace but hard to put on yourself... take it to a mechanic.

Most likely a blown head gasket. Worst comes to worst, a crack head.

BLOWN HEADGASKET, Your engine is burning oil, you are not burning all fuel right, you have water in the fuel system, or your fuel is mixed with another chemical such as oil.
Good luck!
