Yesterday, my two-month-old new car was hit from the side at an intersection (luckily no one was hurt). The driver came out to access her damages (She said a few things like: 'I have to get to work. My boss will be mad.' She even borrowed my cell to 'supposedly' call someone, but their was no record.) and then quickly drove away. All I got was the license plate number. The police didn't even come (weekend). Will that be enough? Do all intersections have cameras?

By the way, if the person doesn't have insurance, they will just have their licenses revoked and pay a fine? Argh, what about my car?

Thanks so much for your response.

So I'm getting ready to sell my car, but I'm really not sure of it's value. I know I can look up the kelly blue book value, but I'm really more interested on what the general public think it is worth, because there are factors to take into consideration (what's been done, what needs to be done, ect). Here is the description.

1985 Mercedes 190 E, 3.5
87K miles
Leather interior, decent shape
Decent paint, minor issues (scratches, warping..the car is older than I am!)
Sun roof
New tires
Original floor mats
Runs well, has been kept up on

All in all, the car is in good condition, just has minor flaws because of it's age. What do you think? And no I am not trying to cop a free ad here :)

I was only going about 20 mph, but the road was wet since I had gotten caught in the rain, and the bike slid out from underneath me. 3 months ago I went off a curve and broke my hand. Both times I was out alone, without my husband. I've been riding for a year. If I do get over it, I'll not be riding alone for a long time. I would like some suggestions on how to work through my jitters. Thanks!

What do these signs on the back of dump trucks refer to? Following them accidentally into a construction site, or in case debris falls from the truck and ruins your car, is the sign sort of a disclaimer? Anyone know?

Will the ID # be the same for both the Drivers License and the Permit. Currently I am about to get my Permit, and I need the ID# for a form that I am filling out would it be sufficient to write the Permit ID# ? or do I have to wait to get my License before I can fill out the forum? My questions are ?

1: do I have to wait to get my License before I can fill out the forum?
2: Are the Permit ID# and License ID# the same? since I believe they are both 9 digits?

I'm trying to decide what car I should buy. I'm looking up different ones online and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed! I want to make an informed purchase and ensure I don't get ripped off, but I don't feel like the research I've done has helped at all. What's a good way to approach this.

I don't need help with financing or anything else, I'm just trying to decide which car to buy. Thanks!!

It is a rush hour going home from work. There are many cars on the road. There is this one car and the driver does not care who is in front, who is at the back and who are at the sides. Even when there is no space for him to change lanes, he still tries to move in thinking that somehow his car will not rub against the other car.

i have a 1987 ford f-150 and i am about to have a child. my wife argues that there must be a back seat, but i think that if my truck has no airbags then that relieves the threat of being in the front seat.

Hi
I have a 1997 Saturn SL2, yesterday on the wyt home from work, whenever I turned right there was a sound like something rattling around in my wheel well.
I was going to go out later, and the car wouldn't start. The lights and radio came on, but the engine did not click, it just didn't start. I tried again and the car started right up. I turned it off and it wouldn't start again. Then I repeated the process and it would start twice in a row and not start. Again and again.
Do I need a new starter? Any suggestions would be apprecated before I take it it.
Thanks

It is a 1979 Chrysler. It has a 115 horse power outboard motor. It has been sitting for about 3 years, but we did replace all the fuel lines on the motor. We are currently only averaging about 2 hours. Is this normal or is there a problem?

basically you pay a lot to a company in case something happens. in my opinion you should get it back if something doesn't happen. a lot of people say a lot of things about it being for safety. there should be a review to this because once something does happen, very little insurance companies will be even close to prompt about the situation, if at all. most will not even coever you for things. in the end its just more of your money stolen due to dumb laws. i've been driving for 10 years and paid almost triple to my insurance company the worth of my car in the first place. does that make sense to anyone? what do you think?
