Check out anything by Victor Wooten (more jazzy, but what a player!!!), Billy Sheehan (rock LEAD bass player - incredible musician), or Bootsy Collins with Parliment (sp?) or the Funkadelics... all of these bass players are incredible.

I know it's stupid, and, well, crappy, but i was listening to the radio in my car a few months back, and i had a pretty good ICE setup at the time, and Wham- Wake Me Up Before You Go Go came on. It was awesome, it really was. Could not stop smiling. of course, I wouldn't tell anyone I enjoyed it-that's just wrong.
