It is a rush hour going home from work. There are many cars on the road. There is this one car and the driver does not care who is in front, who is at the back and who are at the sides. Even when there is no space for him to change lanes, he still tries to move in thinking that somehow his car will not rub against the other car.

He only cares about himself, no consideration for others. Probably young, and thinks he's invincible!

There are drivers out there that seem oblivious to anyone else on the road. That is, until they discover they are not in front and there is some mental deficiciency that causes them to act just as you describe. Wanting to be in front apparently at whatever means possible, including the darting in and out of lanes impatiently, with little regard of the surroundings.
Nobody knows what is going on in their heads, but as some of the other posters have indicated, your best bet is to back off and give them the space. They will HIT you, if they need to, just to be first.

GOT TO BE FIRST SYNDROME always when you see this type stay away stay clear be defensive drive defensively because this guy or lady may have a emergency in or on mind they are focused on themselves not knowing other are being effected report dangerous driving to proper authorities do not follow or chase even if you were hit...they may have just robbed a bank who knows but keep self safe is best

Actually, that sounds so radical, that I would immediately sense that the driver was impaired somehow, possibly sick or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Since he's an accident waiting to happen, I would tend to either fall way back behind him in traffic or go way down the highway well ahead of him to avoid the accident that he may cause.

when they drive like that they aren't thinking and that is the problem.
he's someone not caring or not paying attention.
might have something on his mind and he's not focused on driving. might just suck as a driver.
inattentive driver.
he's the kind of guy i get tons of calls for at work trying to report him for agressive driving

It can be rather bad! I believe such a person has a compromised frontal lob. Therefore they cannot think clearly and make good choices.

he thinks that he is the best race driver and wants to impress everyone with his reckless aggresive behavior.
beep at them and let them know that they are nuts! that sometimes slows them down.
