I have a 2001 Yamaha YZF R5 and I am trying ti determine which stand is ultimately the best for my bike. I haven't purchased and spools for my bike yet until I decide.

Spooled is the safest, therefore the best.
It's a positive lock to hold the bike up.
A "swing arm" stand - it's very easy for the bike to fall off the stand if it's bumped.
The swing arm type is beneficial when using for different bikes because it's universal.
And not all bikes have spindle mounts on them.
If you don't want to purchase spindles, or keep them mounted on your bike, you can just use regular bolts.

Ron---the kick stand that came with the bike when it was new. Is the best---engineered for the bike..I guess you have some left over money to spend...
It is a beautiful day--I'm working---why aren't you riding your bike...

Much more comfortable? What does comfort have to do with a stand? What the hell are you guys doing with these stands?
