I've been checking the status of train 6 from California to Illinois and it's almost ALWAYS 5 hours late to Chicago, often more than that. I just wondered why the same schedule is kept in place.

Is this why a struggling diesel train under a big load will always flatten a penny more than one running "light" or braking/coasting. Is this "force" what they mean when they talk about "traction"? Is there often a slipping of the wheels on the rails as they try to get the train moving?

It was hit by another car right on the drivers side wheel. Steering wheel is not centered and it wears tires out fast.

The bike won't start, but not because of the battery, which I just got late last year. I'm thinking maybe fuel line or carb. Need help like yesterday, with gas being what it is. To paraphrase Smokie Norful, "I need help NOW!!"

It's a stupid question but I just can't figure it out. There's nothing in my Haynes manual about it.

I am considering purchasing a used car from about 1995 to 1997. The problem is that most have over 100k miles on them. I have heard that banks will not finance a car with over 100K, is this true? If so where else can you get financing? Will you have to pay higher interest rates?

Just bought a 2007 F-150 Lariat with 20" factory wheels, and I'm very unhappy with the ride.
Compared to most GM's (I had a Tahoe and Avalanche before), the ride is rough and not very compliant. I prefer that "softer" feel on the road.
Short of changing the 20" wheels to 18's, anyone know of a way to improve the ride on this particular truck? Perhaps the shocks?

It is being said that today's prices are "worse than the 1981 oil shock".

Gas now at it's highest level, even adjusted for inflation; AAA's reading of nearly $3.20 a gallon marks ninth straight record high.

As of yesterday (late Sunday) a price of unleaded was $3.18 per gallon, up more than 11 cents from two weeks ago.

Is this a "budget buster" for you yet.?
or are you just taking this "all in stride"?

Hi,
I have a 1991 Hyundai Excel and am currently using premium high octane (98+) fuel in.
I have read that sometimes using premium fuel in older cars has no benefits and can sometimes increase overall running costs. As I am a student I don't want to be wasting money on petrol, but want whats best for my car.
Does anyone know what fuel I would be best using?
Thankyou
Bria
